Oorutaichi is a Japanese electronic musician who is a genre unto himself. Imagine that an Indonesian culture gained access to synths and sequencers a century or so ago and incorporated them into their folk music, and you have a very rough approximation of what Oorutaichi sounds like. This is pop music at its least predictable, yet it retains the necessary sense of fun and accessibility which worms its way into your ears long after the music is finished.
Some music is for words, but this music is not. Listen to a sample, and listen to the album.
This is why we need more forward-thinking pop.
