Largely prolific producer Madlib has been putting out a slew of releases as part of his Medicine Show series since 2009, so far totaling up to 12 different chapters. The 13th, entitled Madlib Medicine Show #13: Black Tape, is looking at a March 1 release date on both Stones Throw and Madlib's own Madlib Invazion. Below, you can listen to a track from the album entitled "DOOM Vs. Jadakiss", which, as you might have inferred from the name, couples verses from DOOM and Jadakiss. Stay on the look out for Black Tape, as well as a compilation of all 13 Medicine Show installments that Stones Throw will release on March 27.
Oh yeah, and don't forget the best part: the album took some extra time to release due to some "graphic" artwork proving to be too much for many printing presses to handle. A quote from the official Stones Throw website:
"Months ago when we dropped a hint that one more Madlib Medicine Show was to come, little did we know that the Madlib Invazion label would find itself dealing with the problem of one printing press after the next refusing to run the artwork. Some who have seen this artwork describe it as "mutant porn." Others simply shake their heads, set it down, wash their hands. Now that an offshore press specializing in "fringe adult publications" has taken the job, the 'secret Medicine Show' will finally be released on March 1st."
So uh... yeah, be on the look out for that too.
