WEEK IN REVIEW: September 23rd, 2012

Week In Review is the feature where Kyle (that's me!) goes over current events in music and beyond. It's pretty much the only news post on this blog and as such it is both the best and worst written news you'll read here. You can follow me on Twitter here if you feel so inclined. I promise daily opinions on a whole buffet of topics you don't care about at all.

*Death Grips has had a busy couple of weeks, first off they released their new single via Adult Swim entitled "@DeathGripz" (which yes, is their twitter handle). In other more exciting news they have continued their ARG on /mu/ in the form of some shenanigans in Manhattan last night that culminated in nothing but a picture of the feel guy meme with the message "that feel when no gf ;-;". An epic troll was assumed that was only made more epic by the fact that Death Grips claimed responsibility. In an age where nobody does anything remotely interesting to promote their work, Death Grips wins.

*Green Day isn't a band that this blog would usually cover, but Billy Joel Armstrong had a meltdown at the iHeartRadio festival this week that was too entertaining to ignore. Apparently he was upset that the festival was cutting their set short so Usher could play longer. In related news, he entered rehab today. He should probably give some Warning when he's gonna be an American Idiot and smash Kerplunk his guitar.

*A.C. Newman (of The New Pornographers) released a new track featuring Neko Case (of The New Pornographers) off his upcoming 3rd studio album... it sounds like the New Pornographers.

*Kanye West interviewed himself for a promotional YouTube video for Cruel Summer... it's exactly as pretentious as you think it is.
