VIDEO: Phèdre - "In Decay"

Only a few weeks in and 2012 is already looking like an exciting year for music. The band Phèdre is comprised of Daniel Lee and April Aliermo from Hooded Fang along with Airick Woodhead from Doldrums. They recently dropped a new video for their song "In Decay" along with plans to release a debut self-titled album on February 14 via Daps Records. You can check out the NSFW video for the funky "In Decay" down below.

If you're in the mood for some fairly genre-bending music, look no further. Psychedelic pop would probably be the most obvious genre label for this project, but this is more than your average Animal Collective ripoff. On the track "I'm Homesick Sittin' Up Here In My Satellite" alone you'll find sampled drum solos, a clash of wordly percussion against hard-hitting electronic drums, and plenty of sporadic samples peppered throughout. "Parrot Talk" continues the oddball fest of ideas, also adding a bit more experimentation with rhythm into the equation.

Stream the whole EP below, and look forward to an official release December 8th on No Pain in Pop.
