With the new year in full swing there are lots of new album announcements coming out every day, but perhaps none are more interesting than Joel Plaskett's album plans. The iconic Canadian rocker will be releasing a song a week starting today from his new album called Scrappy Happiness. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the whole album is that it isn't even recorded yet. Plaskett and his band will be recording each song from the record in the week leading up to that song's release. Coming off the heals of his triple album back in 2009, I think this shows that Joel hasn't lost any ambition at all.
The first track off the album is called "You're Mine". You can check it out over at CBC Radio 3, and be sure to keep an eye out each week for a new track.
