How important are solo recordings when they don't stand a chance of overcoming someone's work with a band? Lennon had some great post-Beatles songs, but not even "Imagine" overcame the plethora of immaculate material the Beatles released. Well, when a song is awesome, it is awesome. Daniel Rossen, of Grizzly Bear fame has released a solo track for the world to hear today. After the great haunting track, "Saint Nothing," from Rossen's forthcoming debut Solo EP, "Silent Hour / Golden Mile," Rossen has released another gem. This one is titled "Silent Song" and it is anything but. It is upbeat, catchy, and a reason to be excited for the solo EP and the next Grizzly Bear release to boot.
