TRACK: Lindstrøm - "No Release (Owen Pallett remix feat. Steve Kado)"

As the resident Owen Pallett junkie, I'm here to inform you that you can now listen to Mr. Pallett's remix of space disco master Lindstrøm's "No Release." The track is featured on a new 12" single, with the other side containing a remix of "De Javu" by Rub N Tug. Pallett's remix is aided by contributions from friend and fellow Toronto musician Steve Kado. Their take on "No Release" zooms in on the arpeggiating synths of the original, slowing them down and bringing them into a sci-fi soundscape of Latin rhythms and laser dancefloors.

LIVE VIDEO: Owen Pallett and the North Netherlands Orchestra

As the resident Owen Pallett junkie, I feel it is my duty to inform the masses that videos are available of Owen's recent set of performances with the North Netherlands Orchestra.  Not only did they perform tracks from last year's already-orchestrally arranged Heartland, but audiences were also treated to bombastic symphonic performances of older tracks with brand new arrangements.

Watch some video samples below, courtesy of YouTube user staralfur123, who is unspeakably awesome.

"Red Sun No. 5/Lewis Takes Action" (also has an unmercifully truncated "The Great Elsewhere")

"The Arctic Circle"

"He Poos Clouds"

"Oh Heartland, Up Yours!"

"E is for Estranged"
