TRACK: Mount Eerie - "Lone Bell"

ClearMoon

Following the announcement of two new albums, Phil Elverum's Mount Eerie project has released a new track. Titled "Lone Bell," the song will appear on the first of the two LPs, Clear Moon. Look for the album on May 22 via Elverum's P.W. Elverum and Sun Imprint.

The track sees Elverum further exploring his signature gloomy folk sound, and his songwriting chops are as intact as ever. His penchant for arranging instrumentation effectively also shines brightly, particularly with a set of horns that adds a dreary yet powerful melody into the mix, and an atmospheric synth that hangs in the background. An ascending bass line also pairs nicely with creatively panned percussion, all which goes to support Elverum's chilling vocal delivery.

We've heard "House Shape," and now you can listen to "Lone Bell" below. Be sure not to miss out on the single that the project released a few weeks ago as well.
